December was definitely a bittersweet month. It was filled with so many fun things and then ended with us deciding to leave Mason City. Here's a catch up of most of the month in pictures...
It never got old pulling up to the beautiful (and foxy) Christmas lights!
The kids played a game in primary that Kevin had us try at home. We had to be blind folded and then we had to draw a picture of something related to Christmas. It was hilarious and the kids LOVED it.
This girl and her adorable cat hat. Every time she wore it my heart just about burst!
Also, Kiera started giving "kisses" (open mouth sloberyness) a couple weeks before we left. OH MY CUTENESS.
The inner baker came out in me and I attempted to make sugar cookies. Hahaha. They didn't turn out like normal sugar cookies but Anna said she liked them better (she's also the nicest person in the world so she definitely could be lying). It was still fun to make them and cookies and frosting is always a good choice. :)
I couldn't get over how little Kiera looked watching Kevin play X-Box one night. So cute. :)
I woke up on my birthday to the kids jumping on the bed yelling, "Happy Birthday!!" Best way I could have started my day. Then Kevin took me out shopping and for hot chocolate. It was so fun having a little morning/afternoon date with my Bebes. Shawnii gave me a gift card to Khols so I could try a more expensive mascara I had heard was really good. (Its nicer than my normal mascara but was a little disappointing.) We had Emily, Jared and their family over for cake and I was spoiled with gifts to open that night. I have the greatest family and freinds ever. It was a wonderful day filled with sweet birthday wishes from family and friends. A perfect way to start 25!
A sweet friend from the ward put together a birthday lunch for me and another sister in the ward. It was a fun get together and it was perfect timing with Kevin and I deciding we were leaving. One last little girls lunch. The ward in Mason City was absolutely amazing and I am going to miss them so stinking much. I am so grateful for the friendships we made while in that ward.
(the lunch was at McDonalds and we got to enjoy this BEAUTIFUL cake) :) :)
Quick selfie with my sista after the girls lunch.
My birthday week was filled with all sorts of fun get togethers! Tuesday was my birthday, Wednesday afternoon was the girls lunch at McDonalds and then Wednesday evening we had Emily and Natalie come over for one last cheesy movie girls night. We ended up watching a not so cheesy movie and were slightly disappointed but it was still the best time getting to hang out with these special ladies.
A sweet friend from the road gave us this quote and frame for Christmas. The road to Mason City definitely doesn't feel long with all the wonderful friends and family we have to visit there now. :)
One night I went downstairs to go to bed and stopped to blow my nose and found a little surprise waiting for me inside. Hahaha. :)
The kids decided they wanted to act out the Nativity. It was pretty cute. :)
I'm going to miss this window. I could sit in the chair and look out all day. It was such a simple view but I absolutely loved it. Especially when it snowed. :)
Suddenly my foot became the most comfortable spot for Kiera to lay down on. :)
There is just something so pretty about snow on trees.
This girl and her high chair. :)
Jackson always gave the best little hugs. He'd put his arm around my neck and just squeeze. Definitely melted my heart every time. :)
This crazy girl slipped on the ice and ended up fracturing her elbow! It took major convincing to get her to go to a doctor to get it checked out. It happened at the 23rd. Poor girl. Luckily its healing great and she only had to have the splint on for a few days and now she's just gotta be careful.
Woah that was A LOT of pictures! I'm grateful for all the sweet tender mercies I received during December. Even though we decided last minute to leave for Wyoming I was able to visit with all my friends and see everyone before we left. :)
