Sledding Adventures

We went sledding on Christmas day and then again a few days after Christmas when it snowed a bunch. We braved the chilly temperatures and decided to sled! :) It was SO cold but SO fun! The second day we went sledding we went out to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's farm and used the four wheeler to pull a couple of sleds around. The girls were pretty cold with the bitter wind and low temperatures so they didn't last too long. Grandma Jensen was ready for us and had delicious hot chocolate and cookies waiting for us so we could warm up after awhile. We took a little break and then some of us headed out again. Four wheeler, then big wooden sled connected by a chain, then tube connected to sled by rope, then small sled being held by person on the tube. Haha. It was ridiculous. We were all laughing so dang hard! This was the best picture I could get! Thank goodness Grandma and Grandpa Jensen had a warm fire to warm up by! I love their rosy cheeks and noses!  We st...

Christmas with the Lymans

This year for Christmas we were with my side of the family. Its always fun getting to spend holidays together with family. ***PICTURE OVERLOAD IN THIS POST*** Danny, Melissa, their kids, Shawnii, Kevin and I were all able to be home at my parents house this year. We missed Arianna, Andrew and their kids sooooo much but it was still fun to be together. I loved how my mom decorated and was so excited to get to see all her beautiful nativities set up all over the house. Christmas Eve we had breakfast for dinner and were able to have Grandma McNeel with us for a few hours that afternoon/evening. I love getting to spend time with her. Its sad watching her Alzheimer's get worse but she is still the sweetest grandma ever. She loves Kevin and always flirts with him when we come around. It is so funny! :) I love seeing Kevin interact with my Grandma McNeel. He is always so sweet with her and their conversations always end in her saying, "Man you sure are a tall glas...

Birthday Awesomeness! Hello 23!

Last year and this year my birthday fell on check-outs for BYU-Idaho housing. Haha. I told Kevin that this semester I always associated December 20th with check-outs and kept forgetting it was my birthday too. :) Even though it was a busy day of check-outs it was still an AMAZING day. I wore my ugly sweater and red skinny jeans so I could feel extra festive! :) Kevin got me beautiful flowers and I got so many phone calls, texts, and Facebook happy birthday wishes. Kevin's family was in town for Katherine's graduation so it was fun getting to be with them. I had to work from Noon to 6 pm on my birthday but decided to put off a few check-out items that could wait till Monday so I could enjoy my birthday night. My Fox family took me out to Texas Roadhouse that night to celebrate. I ordered steak and potatoes and stuffed myself with salad and rolls the whole night. I was STUFFED by the end. Of course if anyone has been to Texas Roadhouse they have probably witnessed the birthda...

I survived...

I survived my first semester managing at Royal Crest! YEAHHH!! I'm not going to lie...this semester was rough for me. Switching to a complex that was 2.5 times bigger than my previous complex, replacing a manager that had been here for 6+ years, dealing with girls that did not like the changes that were happening...it was tough for me at times. Even though this was technically my 5th semester managing I felt as if it was my first most of the semester. I was in a totally different dynamic and felt so lost. There were so many times I really considered walking out my office door and never coming back haha. Good thing I'm not at all a drama queen. ;) I learned so much over the last 4 months and really learned to recognize how truly blessed I am. I could have not survived this semester with out the love and comfort from my Heavenly Father and Savior. Each day I would pray so hard that I could have the motivation to get through work and the inspiration to help my tenants. I know th...

Shout out to the love of my life...

I just need to give a quick shout out to this handsome guy right here... He is the sweetest, kindest, most supportive husband/best friend I could have ever asked for. I get so grumpy and impatient sometimes but no matter what this guy loves me through it all! Every freak out moment, emotional break down, crazy vent session..he's still there for me. He makes me smile and laugh even when I'm feeling like I can't. After five years he still gives me butterflies just like the first time he kissed me and told me he loved me. I love him so much! Sometimes I still can't believe how lucky I am to have him for eternity...ETERNITY. Makes my heart so happy. Tonight I had my end of semester meetings with all my tenants and he sat there beside me through an hour and a half of meetings. Something that probably seems small to everyone else but for me it meant the world. I was so nervous for the meetings but just having him beside me helped my and mind be calm. He is my biggest...
