I was so excited for Conference weekend. The couple weeks before I had been able to listen to some amazing devotionals and have some great temple trips. I was really excited to be spiritually uplifted even more!
Some friends of ours decided we would have a breakfast together (we had one in April for conference too). It ended up turning into a lunch so I called it "The General Conference Brunch Extravaganza!" All week I kept reminding people about our extravaganza we were having. Haha. It ended up being a great little party. Conference was awesome and good food just added to the amazing day. We had hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, and crepes. Saraiah made the most delicious syrup I've ever had in my entire life. It was to die for GOOD.
While the men watched the priesthood session, Taylor, Saraiah, and I decided to go hike "R" mountain. We went up a side I had never been up before. The views were SO pretty. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous. I stopped every 5 feet or so just to take another picture of the sky. It was a great way to spend the evening. The whole way up we talked about the sessions of conference that day and reminisced about what we had learned. It was a very sweet hike with two amazing girls.
Sunday was a lot more low key. Kevin, G and I watched all the sessions at our apartment. In between sessions we had pancakes with the remainder amazing delicious to die for syrup, left over bacon, and some eggs. Also in between sessions we got to skype these crazy kiddos, which is always a great time...
It was a GREAT General Conference weekend. I loved all the speakers and definitely received some great insights on things I need to be improving on. I'm so grateful for the gospel and the countless blessings its brought into my life. I'm so grateful for wonderful family and great friends and the fun time we had that weekend!
