Right before conference weekend we were able to visit with a family from Kevin's mission, Mike and Lisa Hale. Kevin helped Mike get re-baptized while he was on his mission and he worked with Lisa trying to get her baptized but she never did while he was out. Kevin found out a few weeks ago that Lisa decided to get baptized! Her baptism is November 1. We're working on getting Kevin a ticket so he can go to Florida that weekend to attend her baptism.
It was such a fun visit with them. Kevin was really close to them while he was in Florida. Mike and his daughter actually came to our wedding reception but we hadn't seen him since then and Kevin hadn't seen Lisa since before he left Florida after his mission. It was a sweet reunion for all of them. :)
I loved getting to hear all their stories about Florida and some pretty funny stories about Kevin I hadn't heard before. They only visited us for a few hours but we were able to squeeze in a lot of fun. I closed my office early and we headed up to take some pictures of the temple. Then we went to dinner at a really good mexican place. Then we went and gave them a tour of the BYU-Idaho center. Mike thought it was really cool that its close to the size of the conference center auditorium (only like 6000 seats smaller).
We visited for a while after the tour and then they headed up to St. Anthony to their hotel. The day after they were going to start touring through yellowstone for a few days and then head back down to Salt Lake for conference weekend.
Here are a few pictures I took while they were here:

It was a quick visit but it was so much fun getting to chat with them. They are very close to Kevin and it was so sweet getting to see them together.
Until next time...
