Rexburg Besties

Being in Rexburg Kevin and I have met some pretty fabulous people. Through managing we've been able to form amazing friendships with some of our tenants and other managers in Rexburg. Since most of my lovely family hasn't met any of these people I decided to do a little introduction of a few of my favorite Rexburgian friends...

Lets start with Saraiah and her husband Dallin...
Saraiah was my MA my first Fall semester at Brooklyn. She was writing a missionary Dallin (now husband) and so we had lots of fun tearful conversations about writing to missionaries. She is the kindest person I know. We instantly became good friends and her and her roommates would come visit me quite a bit in my office (especially on "visit Holly Wednesdays".) Her missionary came home Feb. of this year and they were married in the Brigham City temple this past August. Her Dallin took over Brooklyn after we moved to Royal Crest. They are such wonderful people and we have loved getting to know them better. Dallin and Kevin get a long really well. They have fun working together with maintenance stuff and playing video games together. Since they've been married Saraiah and I have been able to go on a few temple trips together and its so fun getting to sit in a session with her. She has the most tender heart and I love being in such a sacred, peaceful place with such a kind and loving person like her. I love Saraiah to death!

Now we'll introduce G..
Me, Taylor, G.
Gerdon (G, or G-Money) we met through Saraiah's apartment. He hung out with them quite a bit and so did we so inevitably we all became good friends. G has been a great friend to both Kevin and me. Since we've moved to Royal Crest he and Kevin hang out almost every day haha. They get a long really well and just always have a good time together. G is the coolest, most down to earth person. When he walks into a room the first thing he says is, "Whats gooood!?" Hahaha. He is the sweetest kid and we've had a lot of fun hanging out with him. He's become like a brother to us.

Then there is D.D...

Oh goodness I love this girl. Her friendship has been such a blessing to me. D.D and I were actually in the same temple prep class when we were both engaged AND we got married on the same day in the same temple! We were in the same married student ward but didn't ever really talk that much until I became her visiting teacher. We just hit it off as soon as we started talking more. Both of our husbands played basketball together so, at the games we would just sit and talk and laugh. She is so funny. Our friendship has just grown so much over the past couple months. She is always there to help no matter what. I would not have survived transferring to Royal Crest and check ins without this girl. She is so organized and gets things done quickly and smoothly. We often go on Jamba Juice and shoppping dates together haha. She keeps me stylish and I keep her from spending every single cent in her wallet. :) One major thing I love about D.D is how real and honest she is. I know that I can always go to her if I need advice or help with something. She's. The. Best.

Last but definitely not least is my Tay Tay...

I love my Tay. We met her when she first moved to Brooklyn Apts. last fall (fall 2013). She was one Saraiah's roommates so we hung out a lot and just became really close friends. This girl always knows how to pick up my spirits when I'm feeling down. She has the most tender heart and is always willing to sit and listen to me vent about drama with work or life. We take frequent trips to taco bell, mill hollow, and midnight trips to mcdonalds. She always has a hilarious story and lights up the room when she walks in! I just love this cute North Carolina girl!

These friends have made being in Rexburg even more fun for Kevin and I. We love each of them and are so grateful for the wonderful examples they are to us.

Until next time...

Third Time's the Charm..Maybe...

Last week as I sat down to go through some emails I remembered this old blog and got sucked into reading through past posts. I smiled, cried and laughed as I read through my memories over the last 4 years. :) It was crazy to read through and think about how much has changed over the years and how much Kevin and I have experienced together in the 6 years we've been married. My last post was from March of last year after a visit to Iowa. I could kick myself for not keeping up with this blog because last year was packed full of some of the greatest and hardest experiences of my life. Highlights from over the past 18 months: -We had a graduation party in Idaho for Kevin April 2017 and he officially graduated the following July! It felt so good for him to finally be done. He worked SO HARD and overcame some major obstacles and set backs.  -After Kevin walked in April we did a big trip to Utah and Iowa with Shawnii after watching her graduate with her Masters in Communication Disor...

Mid-Week Happenings/Ramblings

This week has gone by sooo slow. I woke up this morning thinking it was Thursday. Rude. Anyways...Here's some random happenings/ramblings from the past week or so... Kevin is anti anything Christmas before Thanksgiving...I'm the complete opposite. We've compromised. I can listen to Christmas music but cant hang any decorations (my pinecone and snowflake garlands don't count) until the Monday before Thanksgiving. I can live with those stipulations.  We made a goal with our friend G to not eat out at all this week (we may or may not have an addiction to midnight runs to McDonalds). We've survived so far.  Last night we finally watched the movie, "The Fault in Our Stars". Holy hannah. Ugly face cry the whole time people. It was so sad but so worth it, minus the random f-bomb.  I attempted to make homemade french fries for dinner this week...oh deary...Lets just say I wont be using that particular recipe again...or attempting to make fries again a...

Sum of September

My goodness its already October! September was a fabulous, crazy, busy, wonderful month. First up a visit to Idaho... A ll my siblings surprised my parents the second weekend of Sept as an early birthday present for my mom's 60th birthday! We were missing Kevin and Arianna's husband and kids but the rest of us were able to go. My parents were so shocked and my mom cried and cried she was so happy to see us all. It was the best present we've ever given her. :)  It was a laid back weekend just spending time together. We went to a Gentri concert Saturday night,  church Sunday, my mom loves having people to sit with so we made sure to visit on a weekend so we could all sit with her, Danny and Melissa's family left Sunday after dinner, Monday we had a little day of shopping and relaxing at home, and then Tuesday Shawnii, Arianna and I all headed home.  GETTING TO DRIVE LARRY HOME FROM CHURCH!!!  The day after I got back from Idaho I st...
