Last weekend Kevin and I went down to Provo to spend time with Danny, Melissa, the kids, Shawnii, Mom, and Dad. It was SO much fun when we got there. Getting there was an adventure...
We headed down to Blackfoot around 5:30 pm Friday night. We had to take the truck down to Provo because we were hauling a trailer with Melissa's piano in it. We knew it was going to be a long drive since we weren't going to be driving any faster than 55 mph.
When we went to pick up the trailer we couldn't get the light wires to hook up properly and the lights on the trailer wouldn't work.We Kevin tried and tried but couldn't get it to work. It was really frustrating. We drove out to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's farm so Kevin could use Grandpa's tools. We thought something was wrong with the wiring of the truck. We drove back and forth from the farm to mom and dad Lyman's a couple times. By 11:30 we were both so tired and frustrated we decided we would just figure it out in the morning and hopefully be able to head down early. Kevin was checking the wires one more time and all of a sudden I heard, "Oooooooh!" He figured out the problem. Long story short we were looking at everything backwards so the wrong things were being connected.
So with all the excitement of figuring it out Kevin said he wanted to just start driving down right then. Midnight. Haha. So by the time we got into town, gassed up, and got on the interstate it was 1 am. Kevin was amazing and drove the whole way. We got into Provo at 5:30 am Saturday morning. We both slept for a few hours but had to get up so we could be ready for the parade at 10. Even though we didn't get to sleep very much we both didn't get tired until later in the evening.
The rest of the weekend was FABULOUS! We watched the homecoming parade (WAY better than last years parade!), played with the adorable kiddos, went for a fun walk up in Provo Canyon, and just enjoyed being together (also missing our favorite Texan Fox's the whole time).

Gorgeous Bridal Veil Falls (I think that is what its called)
On our way back down through the canyon we stopped at a park that Kevin and I had gone to while we were on our honeymoon.I love this guy more and more every day.
Fall had definitely hit Provo. I loved all the beautiful fall colors!
It was such a fun weekend. The drive back up to Rexburg wasn't too bad...really long...but not too bad. After having to stop in Blackfoot to drop off the trailer, piano ramp, wood, stopping by Mom and Dad's, and getting back to Rexburg we had been in the car for 8 hours. We were REALLY happy to be home. :) As long as the drive was and as frustrating as it was sometimes it was so worth it getting to spend a couple days with family.
Oh and one more thing....
We had to drop off some wood at the Morgans before we headed back up to Rexburg and as we were putting it away I found THE truck! I had to take a picture for Anna. :)
Until next time...

Wish we could have been there, so thanks for sharing the pictures! Oh and the TRUCK! Ha ha Oh how I miss and REALLY don't miss driving that to school and honking it's moo-sounding horn. Good times.
