March Travels Part 1: Salt Lake/Bountiful

The first weekend in March I headed to Salt Lake with Mom and Dad Fox. We had a pit stop at Little America to get ice cream! Woo Hoo!! It was a very tasty treat to help break up the drive. Then we stopped in Park City at Del Taco for a quick dinner. I had to take pictures for Kevin of all my yummy food. :)

We got to Suzanne and Lee's late Friday night. It was so good to see them. I stayed up late that night chatting with them and it was so fun to catch up. No matter how long I'm apart from them its always so easy whenever we get together. Saturday Suzanne made us a super delicious breakfast casserole. Oh my goodness it was SO GOOD. I played with the kids in the morning and then we headed out and about for some shopping and lunch.

Cute story 1: Olivia slept in a little portable bed in the living room where I was sleeping on the couch. Saturday morning I got up to get ready and I heard her start to move around so I walked over and smiled at her and she gave me the biggest grin. Oh my heart.

Cute story 2: I brought my nemo stuffed animal to see if that would help the kids warm up to me. Evelyn had a stuffed nemo too! She said, "They can be friends!" Then she sat them next to each other on the cough while we watched TV. It was adorable.

Cute/Funny Story 3: It took Michael a little longer to warm up to me but finally he gave me a little hug and I was in Aunt heaven. He smiled at me, leaned back and let out the biggest sneeze right into my face. Haha. Such a tender moment. :P

We stopped at REI for Dad to look around at stuff and then we had In-N-Out for lunch. YUM. My stomach was VERY happy. I of course had to document my Neapolitan milkshake for Kevin. :)

(this was the view outside the REI store. I LOVE the mountains in Utah!)

Ridiculous story: First a little back story...Kevin lost his wedding ring a couple years ago and we had NO idea where it was...So we're sitting at In-N-Out and I look over at Lee's wedding ring. It looked just like Kevin's so I asked Lee if I could see it and said, "I didn't know you and Kevin had the same wedding ring!" As he handed it to me I saw the engraving, "Love you forever baby!" and then said, "Oh my heck Suzanne we picked the same engraving!" Then Suzanne said she didn't think she put an engraving on his ring and asked Lee where he found the ring. Lee had found it in his night stand about 6 months ago and thought it was cool and that Suzanne just got him another ring so he started wearing it. IT WAS KEVIN'S RING! Some time when we were visiting in Boise Kevin lost it in their house. So crazy. They had me take the ring and I called Kevin and told him I found his wedding ring at an In-N-Out in West Valley Utah. Haha. It was so funny! Craziest story of the trip.

Saturday afternoon around 4 Mom and Dad Fox drove me up to Bountiful so I could spend the night at Danny and Melissa's. It was so fun to get to see so many nieces and nephews. We spent the afternoon/evening relaxing, reading books with the kids, watching TV and laughing. It was so nice to get to see Danny, Melissa, the kids and Shawnii. It was a really quick visit but it was wonderful.

I went and took the sacrament with Danny and Melissa at their ward and then walked home so I could be ready in time for Mom and Dad Fox to pick me up to head back to Wyoming. The sun looked beautiful behind the clouds, I couldn't help but take a picture on my walk home. It was such a peaceful moment for me to reflect on the wonderful weekend I had and hot grateful I was for so many tender mercies I received.

I got to spend a little extra time with Shawnii as I waited to be picked up. :)

It was such a wonderful weekend. I had been feeling a bit overwhelmed with life before going and it was such a blessing to get to visit with so many siblings and feel love and encouragement from them. I am so blessed with the amazing family I have. I'm so glad Mom and Dad Fox let me tag along. We are quite the traveling buddies now. This trip to Salt Lake was just the start of three straight weekends of traveling...

Third Time's the Charm..Maybe...

Last week as I sat down to go through some emails I remembered this old blog and got sucked into reading through past posts. I smiled, cried and laughed as I read through my memories over the last 4 years. :) It was crazy to read through and think about how much has changed over the years and how much Kevin and I have experienced together in the 6 years we've been married. My last post was from March of last year after a visit to Iowa. I could kick myself for not keeping up with this blog because last year was packed full of some of the greatest and hardest experiences of my life. Highlights from over the past 18 months: -We had a graduation party in Idaho for Kevin April 2017 and he officially graduated the following July! It felt so good for him to finally be done. He worked SO HARD and overcame some major obstacles and set backs.  -After Kevin walked in April we did a big trip to Utah and Iowa with Shawnii after watching her graduate with her Masters in Communication Disor...

Mid-Week Happenings/Ramblings

This week has gone by sooo slow. I woke up this morning thinking it was Thursday. Rude. Anyways...Here's some random happenings/ramblings from the past week or so... Kevin is anti anything Christmas before Thanksgiving...I'm the complete opposite. We've compromised. I can listen to Christmas music but cant hang any decorations (my pinecone and snowflake garlands don't count) until the Monday before Thanksgiving. I can live with those stipulations.  We made a goal with our friend G to not eat out at all this week (we may or may not have an addiction to midnight runs to McDonalds). We've survived so far.  Last night we finally watched the movie, "The Fault in Our Stars". Holy hannah. Ugly face cry the whole time people. It was so sad but so worth it, minus the random f-bomb.  I attempted to make homemade french fries for dinner this week...oh deary...Lets just say I wont be using that particular recipe again...or attempting to make fries again a...

Sum of September

My goodness its already October! September was a fabulous, crazy, busy, wonderful month. First up a visit to Idaho... A ll my siblings surprised my parents the second weekend of Sept as an early birthday present for my mom's 60th birthday! We were missing Kevin and Arianna's husband and kids but the rest of us were able to go. My parents were so shocked and my mom cried and cried she was so happy to see us all. It was the best present we've ever given her. :)  It was a laid back weekend just spending time together. We went to a Gentri concert Saturday night,  church Sunday, my mom loves having people to sit with so we made sure to visit on a weekend so we could all sit with her, Danny and Melissa's family left Sunday after dinner, Monday we had a little day of shopping and relaxing at home, and then Tuesday Shawnii, Arianna and I all headed home.  GETTING TO DRIVE LARRY HOME FROM CHURCH!!!  The day after I got back from Idaho I st...
