Fun in Laramie

The days before Riverton and after in Laramie were filled with fun. It's always a great time being with Kevin's parents and siblings. Here is what we were up to while we were in Laramie...
-----
Lunch with Dad Fox on Dickey's. DELICOUS. It's always fun getting to go to lunch with him when we come.
-----
We went bowling with Robert and his friend, Emilee. Emilee and I dominated the first round and then the boys demolished us on the second. I'm horrible at bowling but it was still super fun...
Such a booger for not smiling.
Every time we take a picture together there ends up being one like this because I always look up to check if he's smiling. Hahaha. :)
-----
Kevin worked on his truck over the weekend and I couldn't stop laughing when I saw Robert and him getting into the truck to try and change the oil filter.
-----
Pretty sunset on the way to watch the boys play some volleyball with my favorite little (even though she's not so little anymore) Lizzie...
-----
More working on the truck...
-----
The amazing coat Kevin almost wore to the Wyoming vs. Boise State game. Oh how I love this man oh so much. :)
-----
I love watching the sky and the sweet clouds outside Mom and Dad Fox's house. Its always so pretty!
-----
University of Wyoming vs. Utah State football game. SO MUCH FUN! Thank you Mom and Dad Fox for taking us!...
There was a sweet older couple sitting in front of us and Mom Fox gave them a couple of our blankets so they could stay warm. The blankets kept falling off their shoulders so she used some clips she got on the way into the game to clip the blankets around them. SO FUNNY. Everyone around us was laughing and commenting. :) They were such a sweet couple and I loved getting to chat with them throughout the game.
-----
This was technically in Riverton but Sunday the 6th Kevin, Lizzie and I went to visit the Hansen's just for the day. It was so fun to get to see Katherine, Justin and the kids again even if it was just for a few hours. :)
The whole time I was in Riverton Brayden would say, "Yaya (their name for me) I miss Bubba (what they call Kevin)." When I went back to Laramie Brayden and Carlei stood on the porch and waved and yelled, "Tell Bubba we miss him!" When we got to Riverton on Sunday the kids were at church so Kevin hid under a blanket when they got there. As soon as Brayden walked inside he yelled, "WHERE'S BUBBA?!?!" Haha. Those kids were SO ready to see their Uncle Bubba. :)
-----
Mom Fox got us tickets to go see Dr. Strange so we got to go on a little date to the movies Monday afternoon.
-----
Lizzie went on her first date while we were there so I got to help her get ready and drop her off at her friends house for the date. :) I can't believe she's old enough to date! She was 6 the first time I met her and now she's dating, my mind just can't comprehend it! :)
-----
The sunsets are always beautiful in Wyoming.
-----
As I was putting our stuff together to head back to Iowa I couldn't believe how many things we brought with us to Wyoming! I'm scared to see how much stuff we travel with when we have kids. Haha. :)
-----
We got a later start Wednesday morning because Kevin couldn't find his wallet but we decided to just go ahead and start driving even though we'd get in late. The drive wasn't too bad and we got into Mason City at 11:40 Wednesday night.
-----
It was a great trip to Wyoming and I'm so glad we were able to go visit and see everyone there!

Its always bittersweet leaving family. We loved our time with family in Wyoming and miss being closer to them but we were excited to get back to our Fox family and ward family here in Iowa. :)

I'm so grateful for all our wonderful family!

Third Time's the Charm..Maybe...

Last week as I sat down to go through some emails I remembered this old blog and got sucked into reading through past posts. I smiled, cried and laughed as I read through my memories over the last 4 years. :) It was crazy to read through and think about how much has changed over the years and how much Kevin and I have experienced together in the 6 years we've been married. My last post was from March of last year after a visit to Iowa. I could kick myself for not keeping up with this blog because last year was packed full of some of the greatest and hardest experiences of my life. Highlights from over the past 18 months: -We had a graduation party in Idaho for Kevin April 2017 and he officially graduated the following July! It felt so good for him to finally be done. He worked SO HARD and overcame some major obstacles and set backs.  -After Kevin walked in April we did a big trip to Utah and Iowa with Shawnii after watching her graduate with her Masters in Communication Disor...

Mid-Week Happenings/Ramblings

This week has gone by sooo slow. I woke up this morning thinking it was Thursday. Rude. Anyways...Here's some random happenings/ramblings from the past week or so... Kevin is anti anything Christmas before Thanksgiving...I'm the complete opposite. We've compromised. I can listen to Christmas music but cant hang any decorations (my pinecone and snowflake garlands don't count) until the Monday before Thanksgiving. I can live with those stipulations.  We made a goal with our friend G to not eat out at all this week (we may or may not have an addiction to midnight runs to McDonalds). We've survived so far.  Last night we finally watched the movie, "The Fault in Our Stars". Holy hannah. Ugly face cry the whole time people. It was so sad but so worth it, minus the random f-bomb.  I attempted to make homemade french fries for dinner this week...oh deary...Lets just say I wont be using that particular recipe again...or attempting to make fries again a...

Sum of September

My goodness its already October! September was a fabulous, crazy, busy, wonderful month. First up a visit to Idaho... A ll my siblings surprised my parents the second weekend of Sept as an early birthday present for my mom's 60th birthday! We were missing Kevin and Arianna's husband and kids but the rest of us were able to go. My parents were so shocked and my mom cried and cried she was so happy to see us all. It was the best present we've ever given her. :)  It was a laid back weekend just spending time together. We went to a Gentri concert Saturday night,  church Sunday, my mom loves having people to sit with so we made sure to visit on a weekend so we could all sit with her, Danny and Melissa's family left Sunday after dinner, Monday we had a little day of shopping and relaxing at home, and then Tuesday Shawnii, Arianna and I all headed home.  GETTING TO DRIVE LARRY HOME FROM CHURCH!!!  The day after I got back from Idaho I st...
