Its hard to believe its already September 22nd. We've lived at Royal Crest for almost three months. I feel like between summer activities and moving over to Royal Crest everything has just been in fast forward mode. My brain is finally catching up..kind of.
I've never been so excited for a new semester to start. A week ago Kevin started school and I started my new regular office hours (Mon-Fri 11 am-5 pm). We're slowly starting to get back into a routine. Summer was ooooh so much fun but we both needed a routine back in our lives.
Kevin is enjoying his classes so far and homework hasn't been too stressful yet. He's finally getting into his major classes and out of foundation classes. This semester he has two classes on campus and three classes online. He's amazing at juggling work and school and keeping his needy wife happy. Everyday he makes me smile and makes me feel so loved. He's just so dang wonderful.
Having check ins over has taken a huge weight off my shoulders. Poor Kevin has had to deal with grumpy Holly constantly the past two and a half months. Its definitely been a challenge for me since we've come to Royal Crest but every day seems to be a little bit better. I'm grateful to have this job. Getting to renovate my office was so much fun (choosing to do it 9 days before check ins...not so smart.) Its still a work in progress but I love that its my own space!
Our apartment is slowly coming together as well. The day before check ins we got a washer and dryer in our apartment (YAHOO!). They work so much faster than the ones we had at Brooklyn. I've done 4 loads of laundry during my office hours so far! Its been great! Our back two bedrooms are still a work in progress. Over the next couple weeks I think we'll get everything organized more.
Things are starting to feel like normal work/school days do. Today as I was sitting in my office I could hear the washer and dryer going...I couldn't help but smile...I love being a homemaker. I love being a wife. Life is pretty grand right now. Sometimes I get caught up in the stress of work and life and forget how blessed I am right now. I loved a quote I found on pinterest today, "its a good day to have a good day." That's my motto for this week.
And now a photo to finish out this post...Love my handsome mountain man! :)
