I understand that I've got it pretty easy right now. I'm not in school. I don't have to worry about homework. I get to stay at home most of the day. Watch T.V, eat oreos, occasionally make my husband a well balanced meal. Most of the semester managing work isn't too busy...but the past three weeks have been long, stressful, and a wee bit overwhelming. I'm done with this semester. I'm done with winter. I'm ready for Spring.
Check outs for this semester are in 8 days. Check in's for Spring semester are in 15 days. Planning for these two things have been my life the past three weeks. Next semester we aren't going to be very full (seriously barely half way full). This has made doing room assignments for next semester ridiculous. I've had to arrange with girls to move apartments since there wont be enough girls to put into their apartment to make it full. Telling tenants that they are going to have to move all their stuff for one semester is not fun. I get "oh my gosh are you kidding me" face. Its awesome. Finally last week room assignments started falling in place a lot better and quicker and now they are all set. WOO!
Poor Kevin has had to deal with my crazy stressful attitude all month. Good thing he loves me. Pretty sure some days he wanted to lock me in a closet and just slip crackers under the door so i wouldn't starve. Haha.
The General Women's Broadcast was a HUGE uplift for me. I LOVED IT. It was one of the best meeting's I have ever been to. I loved every speaker. I felt so determined and grateful after it was over. I couldn't help but think of all the amazing women in my life that have blessed me. I am so grateful for Relief Society and the opportunities it gives us to serve and help those around us as well as help build our own testimonies through those amazing experiences. That meeting was the BEST!
This week has been pretty stressful. I've been working with an apartment trying to help their roommate with some pretty scary issues. Its been a long week trying to figure out exactly what to do. I'm grateful for the guidance I've received this week trying to help this apartment. I was feeling really worried and concern about what I needed to do. I found this quote on Pinterest yesterday and it was exactly what I needed to read at the time.
I didn't mean for this to be a complaining debbie downer post. Sorry. Here's some happy thoughts to end on a happier note...
* 16 DAYS until I'm done with check outs and check ins and spring semester awesomeness starts!!! YAHOO!
* I watched Frozen today with Whitney and Carlei. Olaf (WYATT!!) never ceases to make me laugh. Love that silly snowman.
* We were able to purchase Kevin's new bike last week and he has been riding it as much as possible. He LOVES it and it makes him so happy which makes me super happy. :)
* The sun is shining super bright today. It warms my soul!
* I am SUPER pumped for General Conference this weekend.
* In four days Kevin and celebrate our 2nd Wedding Anniversary!!! Holy Cow!!
As tough as the past couple weeks have been for me I wouldn't have it any other way. I love this job. I love getting to associate with so many amazing girls. I love getting to spend so much time with Kevin throughout the day. I love this time in my life I'm at.
