Monday through Sunday

Happenings from this past week:

Monday: Presidents Day spent with my sistas (minus Anna) and mama. (separate post to come)

Tuesday: I decided to do the clean checks for my MA's this week so I could get around to each of the apartments so Tues, Wed, Thurs I had clean check stuff to do in the afternoons and early evenings.

Wednesday: Shawnii's Birthday!! :) Woot Woot! I watched Whitney, Carlei, and Brayden in the morning. Had office hours, and did clean checks in the evening. I am so grateful for my MA's so I don't have to do clean checks each week. I had to put three reminders in my phone so I wouldn't forget to go.

Thursday: I had a meeting with a couple of students from the housing and student living office in the morning. I was really nervous for the meeting because I thought I was in trouble for something, so I dreaded it all week. It turned out to be a really awesome meeting. The girls that came were really sweet and it was really fun talking to them. I had office hours and then did clean checks in the evening.

Friday: Normal morning and afternoon routine. Kevin had a basketball game but he didn't want his toe to get stepped on and feel worse so he didn't go and we went to Idaho Falls with some friends to do some grocery shopping instead. Afterwards we had Chelsie and Sam over to hang out. It was really fun getting to see them again. We talked and ate junk food and then watched Zoolander.

Saturday: We left for Driggs at 6:10 am to watch Delwyn and Loriann's boys for the day so they could go snowmobiling in Island Park. It was really fun watching the kids. They all adore Kevin and it was really cute watching them play with him. We made a blanket fort in the morning that they played with throughout the whole day. We watched movies, played the Wii, and I sat on the stairs and watched all four boys wrestle Kevin. :) Delwyn and Loriann got back around 7 so we stayed a while to chat and then we headed home. The rest of the night we relaxed and watched Cars 2 on TV (made me miss Jacoboo and Kayleenie a lot) :)

Sunday: Such a good Sunday! All the lessons and talks were SO good. Sacrament meeting was all about being converted and each speaker touched on some really neat things. I love the ward we're in. It has such awesome people in it. One of our hometeachers came over after church to visit us with his wife and we had fun visiting with them for quite a while. We relaxed the rest of the night and ate chocolate covered strawberries (our new favorite treat).

Here's a couple pictures from this weekend in Driggs...

The sweet blanket fort

They wrestled for over an hour...I don't know how Kevin does it.

They would each take turns jumping on his back and he would throw them off. It was SO much fun to watch! Haha.

A pretty fantastic week if you ask me. It doesn't feel like tomorrow is Monday and Kevin isn't too excited for classes and homework. Seven more weeks till the end of the semester! :) He can do it!

Until next time...

Holly :)

Third Time's the Charm..Maybe...

Last week as I sat down to go through some emails I remembered this old blog and got sucked into reading through past posts. I smiled, cried and laughed as I read through my memories over the last 4 years. :) It was crazy to read through and think about how much has changed over the years and how much Kevin and I have experienced together in the 6 years we've been married. My last post was from March of last year after a visit to Iowa. I could kick myself for not keeping up with this blog because last year was packed full of some of the greatest and hardest experiences of my life. Highlights from over the past 18 months: -We had a graduation party in Idaho for Kevin April 2017 and he officially graduated the following July! It felt so good for him to finally be done. He worked SO HARD and overcame some major obstacles and set backs.  -After Kevin walked in April we did a big trip to Utah and Iowa with Shawnii after watching her graduate with her Masters in Communication Disor...

Mid-Week Happenings/Ramblings

This week has gone by sooo slow. I woke up this morning thinking it was Thursday. Rude. Anyways...Here's some random happenings/ramblings from the past week or so... Kevin is anti anything Christmas before Thanksgiving...I'm the complete opposite. We've compromised. I can listen to Christmas music but cant hang any decorations (my pinecone and snowflake garlands don't count) until the Monday before Thanksgiving. I can live with those stipulations.  We made a goal with our friend G to not eat out at all this week (we may or may not have an addiction to midnight runs to McDonalds). We've survived so far.  Last night we finally watched the movie, "The Fault in Our Stars". Holy hannah. Ugly face cry the whole time people. It was so sad but so worth it, minus the random f-bomb.  I attempted to make homemade french fries for dinner this week...oh deary...Lets just say I wont be using that particular recipe again...or attempting to make fries again a...

Sum of September

My goodness its already October! September was a fabulous, crazy, busy, wonderful month. First up a visit to Idaho... A ll my siblings surprised my parents the second weekend of Sept as an early birthday present for my mom's 60th birthday! We were missing Kevin and Arianna's husband and kids but the rest of us were able to go. My parents were so shocked and my mom cried and cried she was so happy to see us all. It was the best present we've ever given her. :)  It was a laid back weekend just spending time together. We went to a Gentri concert Saturday night,  church Sunday, my mom loves having people to sit with so we made sure to visit on a weekend so we could all sit with her, Danny and Melissa's family left Sunday after dinner, Monday we had a little day of shopping and relaxing at home, and then Tuesday Shawnii, Arianna and I all headed home.  GETTING TO DRIVE LARRY HOME FROM CHURCH!!!  The day after I got back from Idaho I st...
